First Spring Morning
This morning a stink bug
dead in my foyer.
Even dead its three ugly centimeters
twitch my skin.
I rub the back of my neck
where I imagine its
mandibles
entering.
Then I notice how,
in this early sun,
its outer shell shines.
How gray and shiny
and beautiful
its death is.
